Proserpine (Queensland)

Proserpine is a city located on Bruce Highway, in the state of the Queensland. The economy of the city rests mainly on the production of sugar and tourism. Its first inhabitants, in the Years 1880, gave him the name of the Greek goddess Perséphone (in Latin Proserpine). Proserpine counts approximately 4.500 inhabitants.
