Prometheus foundation

The Foundation of companies Prometheus was created at the end of 2005 by 10 great French groups pertaining to the " sectors stratégiques" (energy, defense, health…) or exerting " trades stratégiques" (banks, insurance).

It is a place of exchange privileged between actors university, economic, political and social. Devoted to the analysis of the stakes of universalization, Prometheus develops operational and original tools.

Objectives of the Prometheus Foundation

The objective of Prometheus is to produce a " thought opérationnelle". For that the Foundation proposes:

  • a European strategic diary including/understanding a Community bill book (meetings, decisions, negotiations…) in the strategic sectors (health, sustainable development, defense, energy), as well as a whole of key data corresponding to the identified expiries (working papers, actors, stakes…).

  • a world repertory of the organizations and institutions working as regards anticipation, of futurology and reflection.

  • a cartography of the new actors of the international economic field: OIG, ONG…

  • an observatory of the practices of the international business worked out starting from comparisons of the legislations of the principal economic partners of France and Europe; practices met by the companies within the competing framework; on the support legal, financial, diplomatic or operational brought by the States to exports of their national companies.

Moreover, Prometheus attempts to publish works, studies, working notes, and to organize seminars or conferences on transverse topics.

Organization of the Prometheus Foundation

The foundation of Prometheus company, created by decree of December 27th, 2005, is chaired by Bernard CARAYON , appointed (UMP) of the Tarn. Jean-Michel BOUCHERON , appointed (PS) of Ille-et-Vilaine is the vice-president.
