History

Old castle extremely taken in 1422 by Jean of Luxembourg (count de Ligny and of Own way which delivered Jeanne of arc to English), besieged and destroyed by the marshal of Bousach and Xaintrailles in 1430.

Louis Devillers (1864-1930), doctor like his father, is the founder in 1925 of the maternity, which is the only remaining building of the old hospital of Own way. His wife bequeathed to the department of Aisne its property of Closed in Proisy to install an observation sanatorium there.

XVIe century: Leon de Proisy, Knight, lord of the village of Proisy and the Deaf person, married to Anne de Lannoy.

XVIIIe century Lord Alexandre Charles Tarteron marquis de Proisy burned of Arzillière, acknowledged Lord of Malzy and other places and high and powerful Lady Marie Albertine Therese de Ximenez remaining in their castle and parish of Proisy diocese of Laon.
