Progar
Progar , in Serb Cyrillic Прогар, is a locality of Serbia located in the municipality of Surčin, district of Belgrade. In 2002, it counted: 1455 inhabitants.
Progar is located is located at the confluence of the Jarčina and the Save, in Syrmie, in the under-area of Podlužje. It is to 20 km in the south-west of Surčin. A local road connects Progar to Kupinovo and Boljevci.
Progar is officially classified among the rural localities. Contrary to the other localities of the municipality, its population is in stagnation (: 1457 inhabitants in 1991).
The city has a tourist strong potential: the forest of Bojčinska , a pond, the river island of Progarska ada on the Save. Nevertheless its activity remains exclusively agricultural.
