Charles Francis Xavier , known as the Professor Xavier or Professor X , is one of the main characters of the Comic Marvel X-Men .
Charles Xavier is the founder of a school for young mutants, the Xavier Institute. He is nailed with a wheelchair, paralyzed of the two legs. He is telepathic.
Its ideal pushes it to believe that the mutants will be one day accepted in the company, and that while waiting for this day, it is necessary for them to learn how to control their gifts. He, in that, is opposed to Magnéto which, thinks to him that confrontation is inevitable and that the war is about to burst between Homo Sapiens and Homo Superior.
Fictitious biography
Before X-Men
Charles Xavier is the son of the researcher in nuclear power Brian Xavier and his Sharon wife. After the death of Brian in an accident, Sharon remaria with the colleague of his husband, Doctor Kurt Marko, whose son, Caïn, of his preceding marriage abused Charles. Its telepathic capacities started to emerge whereas Xavier was still a child. Unconsciously, Charles tried to protect Sharon from the violence of his father-in-law. While growing he learned how to control them and he lost his fair hair, to become completely bald person.
As a studied brilliance, it entered to the university of Oxford where it met and fell in love with a named Scottish young person Moira MacTaggert. They envisaged to marry, but after having finished his studies, Xavier was built-in the army and envoy in Korea. Moired wrote to him that it left it whereas he was still with the face. Over there, Xavier and Cain Marko were useful in the same unit. Xavier was pilot discovery by Caïn of the famous ruby in the temple of Cytorrak which transformed it into Fléau.
Xavier was deeply depressed when Moira broke their engagement without explanation. He then started to travel after having left the army. In Cairo, it was made steal its wallet by an young girl who will become later Tornade. A little later it fought psychiquement with Ahmal Farouk, the King d' Ombre, the first bad mutant which it ever met. This meeting led its decision to devote its life to the protection of the humanity of the bad mutants and to educate the mutants which had not discovered their capacities yet.
Afterwards, Xavier left for Israel, where it fell in love Gabrielle Haller, an young woman who left the camps of death, and became friendly with a man called Erik Magnus Lensherr. Lensherr will become later its larger enemy and that of his X-Men, Magnéto. When Xavier set out again on a journey, it left behind him Gabrielle, which, thought he, did not need more him. He was unaware of that it was pregnant of her son, David Haller, future the Legion.
He fought in Tibet against extra terrestrial, Lucifer, scout of his race, preparing an invasion. Lucifer made fall a flagstone from the ceiling on Xavier, crushing the legs to him. This one was then neat in India by a nurse Amélia Voght, very in love with him. They were mutually acknowledged to be mutants, when it fell on notes where he spoke about his project Cerebro, a device intended to locate the mutants in the world.
Amelia helped it to found her school, but left it when first X-Men arrived. She did not want to take part in her project, and preferred to remain hidden rather than to fight. In London, Xavier recrossed his friend Moira Mac Taggert, now become a famous genetician. They started to discuss the idea of the school for mutants, and Moired was interested of very close with the project of Xavier.
X-Men
The school for exceptionally gifted young people
The first coed was Jean Grey, 11 years old. Telepathic it-also, it was traumatisée since it had discovered its capacities by reading the thoughts of her Susan friend, whereas this one was dying. Xavier helped it to leave his catatonie, and learned how to him to use its capacities telekinesic, having blocked its telepathy.
Xavier met later Fred Duncan, an agent FBI which inquired into the growing number of the mutants. Xavier spoke to him about his plan to locate the young mutants and to enlist them in his school for exceptionally gifted young people. By using its family home as drive bases to use their capacities for the benefit of humanity and the government, he thought of having rather important supports so that one lets it work in peace.
The following months, it assembled first X-Men: Cyclops, Iceberg, Angel, the Deer and Jean Grey who took the name of Marvel Girl.
The second team
Years later, the majority of X-men originals (put aside the Deer) were captured by the Krakoa mutant, camouflaged in island. Xavier then called upon a new team of X-Men, of which it envisaged integration for some time, delayed by the fact that the future students were for the majority from abroad. The team includes Hurleur, Colossus, Tornade, Wolverine, Épervier and Feu of the Sun. The two last did not remain a long time, Épervier died in its second mission and Feu Of the Sun left the team at once after having saved X-Men de Krakoa. The following years, Xavier added novel members like Étincelle or Malicia.
Lilandra
Lilandra, the princess of the extraterrestrial race rear Shi', came on Earth to require of the assistance against his/her brother D' Ken who had usurped the throne, and which threatened the Universe while trying to seize the Cristal Me Kraan. X-Men helped Lilandra to restore the situation, but this one, considered as traitor with his fatherland, was to be judged to know if it could succeed her brother. It decided to remain on Earth while waiting for the sentence. Xavier and it fell in love, they were already dependant besides psychiquement whereas Lilandra tried to join the Earth. Later, Xavier became Prince Consort rear Shi' empire, before this one does not put at dead Phoenix. Lilandra and it without separated to cease liking. They are not transfered any more but when the things were badly. After the disappearance and the supposed death of X-Men, Xavier joined several Lilandra times in space. There was these last years an ab.initio cancellation of their marriage following the monstrous crimes committed by the twin sister of Xavier, Cassandra Nova.
Magneto and Onslaught
Magneto and it were often opposed at the time of the beginnings of its team: Magneto became Némésis of the group besides, but it is an enemy who became increasingly human and reasonable. He changed point of view little by little, at the point where Xavier asked him to take in hand the school and part of his teams during one of his absences. During this amount of time, certain members disappeared tragically, and guilty Magneto feeling resigned. But it again made its appearance afterwards many years: mutants having begged it to take again the combat against the human ones which oppressed them, it was drawn up again against X-Men, in a rather violent way. Xavier, nauseated by his friend, deprived it of its psyché, and Magneto sank in a vegetative coma.
In fact, psysché of Magneto, rather its frustrations and its bad instincts were grafted on Xavier. In some time, they emphasized its most hidden sides, its most secret thoughts and its most unsatiated desires. Before Xavier does not realize that its spirit escaped to him, Onslaught had been born and taken entièrment the control of its host. He then fought X-Men, the Avengers and the Fantastic ones: the nonmutant Avengers and the Fantastic ones perished, but X-Men managed to save Xavier of its creature, and to destroy it. Since, Xavier is locked up by the government to prevent that such a drama reproduces. Besides after its separation of with Onslaught, it does not have any more any capacity.
The Xavier twins
The binocular of Xavier, Cassandra Nova, was killed by Xavier in the uterus of their mother. Psionic force of a great power, its spirit survived, and in a protoplasmic form, it returned to the life and pirated a group of Sentinelles to destroy Génosha, the island taken in hand by Magnéto. The attack made several million dead in the mutant population.
It succeeds in the same way seizing the body of Xavier and overcoming the Imperial Garde rear Shi'. Currently, it is locked up inside a Shi' guard rear and condemned to learn. It takes a revenge devastator in The End Song.
The Professor is mutant
Cassandra Nova made a statement announcing the change of Xavier publicly. Following what this one undertook to make a lecture tour on the mutant condition. A Chinese mutant, Xorn, returned the use of its legs to him.
It based also the X-Corporation, with offices scattered on world (Paris, Dubai, Hong-Kong, L.A.). The goal of the organization was to supervise the rights of the mutants and to help them with the need.
The institute became public with the eyes of the world, and accommodated many mutant young people. An accident occurred at the time one day open door, when a student, Quentin Quire (Kid Omega), caused a riot with his gang.
Little ensured by the finality of its dream, he stated to take his retirement and left his station to Jean Grey, Emma Frost and Cyclops.
Xorn then proved to be Magnéto (makes some one learned thereafter that it was not about the " vrai" Magneto). Impostor made lose in Xavier the use of his legs, and undertook to destroy NYC, before being stopped by Wolverine and X-Men. Jean grey was killed by Xorn with a powerful static head…
A new alliance
Jean died, and the school left with the good care of Emma Frost and Cyclops (become lovers), Xavier left for the island devastated Génosha, where it found the genuine Magneto, survivor of the attack of the Sentinels. They reflect side their differences and worked to rebuild the nation.
Capacities
Charles Xavier is tallest telepathic world; he can just as easily read in the thoughts of other people that to take the control of their body and thus, to make them his puppet. He does not have many limits as regards thought transference: he can join the people whom he wants on whole planet, in normal conditions, to see even in space, as long as they are in the solar system.
Its capacity is multiplied by ten by the use of Cerebro, an installation being used to detect the changes on planet.
It will also take part in the creation of the most dangerous mutant in the world: Onslaught.
Consequently from its failure to look after Wanda Maximoff, the Red Witch, the day M came. Of return of this alternative reality, the Professor X lost his capacities but recovered for one énième time the use of his legs.
Ideals
Charles Xavier is persuaded, following the example his friendly acian Magnéto, that the appearance of Homo Superior on Earth is inescapable. But contrary to its from now on adversary, he thinks that the men and the mutants must live in harmony, and not to try to seize the power the ones on the others.
To avoid with human and the mutants the consequences of the ill will of the hostile mutants to the man, or of human hostile for the mutants, its school is used as a basis of drive for several teams of mutants, more or less strong and more or less able to use thoroughly their capacities. He and its successors organized these teams in the same way: to make to several strong individualities a linked group, with a solid team spirit allowing them to count the ones on the others in the event of problem, and to mitigate the variations of capacities between them.
Its ideal was largely weakened by Onslaught.
Paralysis
Since his combat with Lucifer, Xavier has several times recovered the use of his legs, but always reperdu has it. Thanks to rear Shi' technology, it could change body, but its last combat with the King of Ombre again paralyzed it. Its last recovery is recent and the work of the Red Sorcière.
