Trades

General information

There exist several alternatives in the trade of professional rider:

• Riding of the equestrian Sports: there exist professional riders in the three Olympic disciplines which are the Saut of obstacles, the raising and the complete Concours of horsemanship.
• Riding of the equestrian sports: jockey for the races of gallop and assembled trot, and driver for the trotting races harnessed.
• Riding of the equestrian spectacles.
• equestrian Guide of tourism (ATE) and guides equestrian tourism (GTE).

Certain professions are exerted with Cheval but the equestrian character is regarded as secondary: Police, Republican guard or keeps with horse, etc They are not regarded as professional rider. Equestrian rider of sport

Jockey

Formation

In equestrian spectacle, most known is the Academy of the Equestrian Spectacle of Bartabas to Versailles.

Many jockeys are formed with Association formation and social action racing stables (AFASEC), from where Christophe Soumillon left, twice prize winner of the gold riding crop.
