Members of the Commission

The Prodi Commission counted 20 police chiefs in his initial composition. The large countries (France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain) had two seats within the Commission, the others only one.

Following the widening of May 1st 2004, 10 new police chiefs coming from each of the ten new Member States were named and assisted some their colleagues.

The Commission Barroso succeeded the Prodi Commission.
