Process communication

The process' COM or process communication is a method of analysis of the personalities and their exchanges which seeks to solve the conflicts and incomprehension (or mécommunications ) established by Taibi Kahler in the Années 1970.

The denomination as well as the abbreviation process COM are deposited. One can more to speak about science, since one seeks to identify cases according to a grid preestablished and not easily modifiable, which limits the upgrading capability, and within a generally commercial framework.

Today it is especially a method of management of the human resources in (large) the companies.

Origins

It is NASA, in the Années 1960 which initiated this movement by studying the various profiles of personality in order to facilitate the life in forced promiscuity that the space flights can represent.

Personalities

The process COM distinguishes 6, all from them present of each one of us, but who express ourselves more or less, or with which one is more or less at ease or effective.

The empathique one

It is the most spread personality, (or at least that which one sees more expressing).

Standard profile of the commercial one.
  • Fonctionne on the principle of the challenge ( to the driver ) is strong .
  • Quality: adaptable, full with resources, tempting

The travaillomane

It places the quality of its achievements in the foreground.
  • It seeks the perfection ( with the driver ) is perfect .
  • Quality: organized, responsible, logical

The persevering one

It is the direction of the things, confidence, the opinions
  • Cherche the realization of the idea
  • Qualité: engaged, faithful

The dreamer

Exploit the imaginary world
  • Pratique the virtualisation
  • Qualité: Reflective.

Profile

It is represented in the form of a pyramid, the base being the personality first of the person, and at the being top the least used personality.
  • the base is the type of personality developed since most tender childhood and used most usually. It generally differs from the phase, and cannot change with time.

The phase of personality corresponds to the type in which is the current motivation. It is what is called the psychological need. Theorem: One hears with his base and one decides with his phase!

The principle

Each one having the unit of the personalities ( more or less developed) it is preferable to activate the same type of personality as its interlocutor to communicate.

The types of basic personality ( bases and phase ) do not require any effort to be used, the others consume energy and invite to the effort if they are used and endorsed over long periods.

The mecommunication begins when two people do not communicate any more on the same register (standard of personality), that can go from the misunderstanding to the conflict.

One also studies in process COM the drivers. The principle is borrowed from the compromise Analyze, and consists in identifying a message sent by a person to another in the form of a simple sentence.
