A procedure consists of the detailed description of the actions necessary to obtaining a result. One also speaks about '' process '' or process. The procedure generally describes the detailed course of the operations carried out on a station fixes, but it can also describe the sequence of the operations of station at station.

When the process is continuous, this procedure describes overall the constraints imposed on the process of transfer and Manutention. (See Line of assembly)

In all the cases, the procedure inter-stations is the principal technical information of the Gestion of flows of manufacture.

Quality and procedure

It is, in the professional field, integral part of the Quality system. Each Operator on his Work station having to take part in the definition the procedures which it will have to implement.

Organization and data processing

In data-processing Project management, the procedure must be described with the assistance of the future users of the application. It must describe the Donnée S used and integrate the Règles beforehand definite trade.
