Prison of State of Florida

The prison of State of Florida (FSP), so known under the name of prison of Starke (because of its proximity with the town of Starke) or of prison Raiford , is a correctional penitentiary which is located at Raiford, in Florida in the county of Bradford. The institution opened in 1961, although its construction was really completed only in 1968. Today, the prison is a maximum establishment of safety, in which the most dangerous criminals of Florida are interned, with an incarceration population of more than 1400 prisoners, FSP is one of the largest prisons of the state. It is as in Starke as and the condemned to dead carried out are interned, formerly by electrocution and today by Lethal injection. Ted Bundy, Paul Jennings Hill or Aileen Wuornos was among the most famous prisoners.
