Printed without address

The Imprimé Without Address (ISA) is a promotional technical used within the framework of the campaigns of direct Marketing. This very widespread technique consists in depositing commercial offers in the letter-boxes without to have printed there the address of the recipient (example: catalogs of promotions of the supermarkets).

This technique is difficult to classify in the register of the tools of the direct Marketing because the targeting is often very approximate even non-existent. However, the companies providing this kind of service define their plans of rounds better and better and can more target districts where one finds a certain homogeneity in particular through CSP.

According to an investigation TNS Sofres of October 2004, 91  % of the French confirm to receive ISA in their letter box and 83  % of them like to read the commercial documents that they receive.

One can refuse to receive this type of publicity by affixing a sticker on his letter box, but according to the same study that relates to only 2  % of the French.
