Principio Copernican

A allene is a Hydrocarbure of which one of the Atome S of Carbone is connected to two other carbon atoms by means of two double connections.

Stereochemistry

One can note in particular that the plans R-C-R' and R - CR are orthogonal

The allenes can show an axial Chiralité, although not having inevitably asymmetrical carbon.

Synthesis

Reactivity

This type of grouping makes allenes more reactive than the Alcène S.
