Synopsis

Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway), a timid American young person and badly in its skin, only lives with his/her Helen mother with San Francisco. At this point in time an unexpected meeting comes to upset its peaceful existence: that of Clarisse Renaldi (Julie Andrews), the mother of her late father from Europe. While making her knowledge, the young girl will discover that she is the single heiress of a small country, the kingdom of Génovie. Mia, which knows already many difficulties at the school, in particular with his/her comrades, does not feel lends to assume such responsibilities. But it is without counting on the Clarisse queen who seems well defined to make to her little girl a princess.
