Princess Wencheng (theater)
Princesse Wencheng ( Wencheng gongzhu 文成宮主) is a historico-political Play Chinese written by Tian Han (田汉), critical of the Grand Step ahead, at the request of Zhou Enlai. The topics are the class struggle between owners Tibetans and their slaves, the conflict between Chinese civilization and the culture Tibetan introduced like ignorant and latecomer, and the interest for Tibet to be share of the China.
A part of propaganda

Outline of the intrigue
- Class struggle and denunciation of the cruelty of the local habits: The Wencheng princess tries before her marriage to come to assistance of a serf having left her residence due to debts and marriage, but the latter is removed by its Master, a local nationalist. In her mission of rescue, the princess meets many obstacles and loses two of her best assistants. She fails finally, and the serf has the eyes torn off like punishment for her escape. Exasperated by this cruelty, Wencheng teaches with her husband Songtsen Gampo the means of reforming the old habits for the benefit of the masses. It accepts the reprimand and decides to take as a starting point the progressionism of the Chinese culture. The part ends in a song with the glory of Chinese civilization higher than cruelty Tibetan.
- Union of the people: The danger of nationalism Tibetan is detected by “wise king” Songtsen Gampo; the obstacles are finally raised, allowing its marriage with the princess.
