Prince Eric

The Prince Eric is the hero of a series of four novels of Serge Dalens published in the origin with the Alsatia editions, in the collection Signe of Track:

  • the Bracelet of Vermeil (1936)

    • Eric, young prince of the small principality of Swedenborg, and Christian, wire of a Parisian chirugien, meet during a camp scout. They are found confronted with the mystery of the bracelet that Eric carries to the arm, symbol of a dramatic revenge. Eric will have to then choose between the duty and the friendship, no compromise not being possible.
  • the Prince Eric (1939)

    • Become Prince de Swedenborg, at 15 years, with died of his/her uncle, Eric is found to reign, surrounded by corrupted traitors, spies and ministers. Its Prime Minister, the count Tadek, seeks to charm his crown at all costs to him. French Christian and his other friends will try to tear off it claws of the Adviser félon.
  • the Spot of Wine (1939 - 1946)

    • Rémy, orphan young person coldly made at the Troop, makes a mysterious meeting, a young friendly boy of Eric, who does not want only one way his face. Eric, who for Tadek had chosen forgiveness… But is always necessary to prefer indulgence with strict justice?
  • the Death of Eric (1940 - 1942)

    • Eric engages in 1940 as officer in the French Army. His/her friend Christian joined it on the face. They will be found to fight, together, against other young people who, for some, do not have more than their age. In the enemy camp, they will find one their former friends, known before the war: Franz von Waldenheim.

These novels were followed of two other complementary novels, intended to light the readers on many points remaining still mysterious:

  • Ainsi Reigned the Prince Eric (1992)

Eric, young Scout, finds himself at 15 years Prince of the imaginary principality of Swedenborg, with the catches with innumerable dangers and adventures. He crosses them thanks to the faithful friendship and the bravery of his comrades of scouting.

It should be noted that Pierre Joubert was the illustrator of these works.

An adaptation in Cartoons of the first three novels was published in 1966 and 1967 in the weekly magazine J2 Jeunes , with scenarios of Serge Dalens and illustrations of Alain of Orange.
