Primulaceae
The Primulacées are a family of plants Dicotylédone S which includes/understands 1000 Espèce S divided into a score of kind S:
They are herbaceous, generally perennial, often rhizomateuses plants or tuberoses of the cold areas to tropical. This family is particularly present in the moderate areas of the Northern hemisphere.
Among the listed kinds one can quote in France:
- Anagallis , with the scarlet pimpernels S, Cyclamen , and Lysimachia which are now placed in the Myrsinacée S.
- Androsace
- Primula , the high primulas, common and the cuckoo S
- Soldanella with the Soldanelle of the Alps
Contours of this family are still under discussion (in particular bonds with the family close to the Myrsinacée S).
The phylogenetic Classification locates this family in the order of the Ericales and reduces it to the following kinds:
- Androsace, Bryocarpum, Cortusa, Dionysia, Dodecatheon, Hottonia, Kaufmannia, Omphalogramma, Pomatosace, Primula, Soldanella, Vitaliana .
