Primitive priest
The primitive cleaned was the authority on which a parish under the Ancien Mode depended. A parish could depend either on a chapter, or of a Prieuré, or directly of a évêché, or of other ecclesiastical authorities.
The primitive priest was thus either an individual (bishop, abbot, etc), or an assembly (chapter, priory, etc). It was charged to perceive the grosses Dîme S, to name with the cure of the parishes of which it had the load. Concerning the dîme, it was held to pour a adequate Portion with the holder of the parish for his maintenance.
