Prime Ministers of Arménie
The Prime Minister of Arménie is the most important Minister for the Armenian government , and owes, according to the constitution, " to take care on the daily activities of the government to coordinate work of the ministres." The Prime Minister is named by the Armenian President and can be relieved by a Motion of censure of the Parliament. The position of president is generally regarded as more powerful than the post of Prime Minister.
The post of Prime Minister was established for the first time in 1918 with the foundation of the Republic of Arménie. It was removed when Arménie was annexed by the Union of the Soviet socialist republics. When Armenie regained its independence, the post of Prime Minister was reintroduced.
If one gathers the Prime Ministers of before and according to the Soviet annexation, there were fourteen Prime Ministers of Arménie.
