Prime Minister of Japan

The Prime Minister of Japan (内閣総理大臣 Naikaku sōri daijin) is the chief of the government to the Japan. This station exists since the era Meiji. The first Prime Minister of Japan was Itô Hirobumi, which was invests on December 22nd, 1885. Since the end of the Second world war, the Prime Minister is named by the Diète. By tradition, it is leading Political party which has the majority at the Parliament. The majority of the Prime Ministers come from the democratic Liberal party.

Because of the importance of the Faction S and consensus with the Japan, the Prime Minister has only little to be able having to negotiate with the factions of its party. Since the mandate of Jun' ichirō Koizumi (2001-2006), the Prime Minister became more powerful.
