Prime Minister for Quebec
The Prime Minister for Quebec is the head of government of the Canadian province of the Quebec. Its official title is Prime Minister and president of the Executive council .
Jean Charest is current the Prime Minister for Quebec. It was born in Sherbrooke in 1958. Jean Charest, with the elections of March 26th, 2007 was re-elected and its party (Liberals) was carried to the minority capacity of way. It is not known yet if Jean Charest will keep the direction of the party or if it will resign.
Selection and qualifications
The Prime Minister for Quebec east, in theory, named by the lieutenant-governor of the province. In practice, the chief of the left holding the greatest number of seats to the National Assembly Quebec becomes Prime Minister following an election. The Prime Minister is normally a Député sitting at the National Assembly; an exception to this rule can intervene when the chief of the gaining party loses in his clean district. In this case, it must be made elect at the time of a by-election. This arrived, as example, with Robert Bourassa in 1985.
