Prime Minister for Ontario

The Prime Minister for Ontario is the chief of the government of the Canadian province of Ontario. The Prime Minister governs the Executive council (also called cabinet or the Council of Ministers) as a Prime Minister for the Queen.

The official title of the chief of the party in power is Prime Minister and President of the Council (English: First and President off the Council ; although in French, the term Prime Minister is used everywhere, in English one holds the expression equivalent Prime Minister to the first federal minister; provincial the Prime Minister is differentiated from this one while being made call Premier .)

The Prime Minister with the longest states of service in the history of the province was Sir Oliver Mowat, which was in station of 1872 with 1896. The first to occupy this station was John Sandfield Macdonald.

Interesting fact, two thirds of Ontarian the Prime Ministers were freemason, whereas those represent only one negligible part of the population. The majority of the Christian denominations condemned this sect.
