Primal Scream is a group of founded Rock Scottish in 1982 per Robert “Bobby” Gillespie and Jim Beattie. It is currently composed of Bobby Gillespie, Andrew Innes, Martin Duffy (old keyboard of Felt) and of Gary “Mani” Mounfield (former bass player of the Stone Roses).
The music of the group is as well influenced by the traditional Rock of the Années 1960, such as the Byrds or the Rolling Stones, that by the most experimental musics. The discography of Primal Scream is thus more eclectic, energy of the pastiche of the Rolling Stones with Give Out But Don' T Give Up (1994) with a kind of experimental music mélant Electro, Punk and krautrock on XTRMNTR (2000) and Evil Heat (2002), or making the crossover between Pop-rock'n'roll and Acid house on Screamadelica (1991) and marrying Dub, pop and music Psychédélique with Vanishing Point (1997). The last album, Riot City Blues , left in June 2006, returns at bases very traditional Rock.
