The Price of the General governor in visual arts and media arts were created jointly by the Conseil of Arts of Canada and Its Excellence the very honourable Romeo Leblanc, General governor of Canada.

Six grateful price of 15.000 $ an exceptional career in visual and media arts and a price of 15.000 $ rewarding a remarkable contribution to visual and media arts in the form of voluntary help, philanthropy, participation in work of boards of directors or activities of Community radiation will be decreed annually.
