Price of 3-July-1608

The Prix of 3-July-1608 commemorates the foundation of Quebec by Samuel de Champlain and points out the historical importance of the Ville of Quebec for the French-speaking people of America. By this price, the Superior council of the French language wants to pay homage to perseverance, the vitality and the dynamism of an organization working in North America for the exceptional services rendered to a community of French language and to the whole of the North-American francophonie. The Price consists of a work of art of a Québécois artist. With work a commemorative plaque engraved in the name of the prize winner is united. A parchment penmanship, signed by the Prime Minister for Quebec, the minister responsible for the Charter of the French language and by the president of the Superior council for the French language, accompanies the Price.
