Price UNESCO of education for peace
Created in 1980, the Prix UNESCO of education for peace is allotted every year since 1981.
The purpose of this price, equipped with 60000 dollars, is to promote all the forms of action which seek with " to build in the spirit of the men defenses of the paix" (Constitution of UNESCO), by rewarding a particularly significant example for action intended to alert the public opinion and to mobilize the conscience of humanity in favor of the cause of peace.
This price is given to Paris, with the seat of UNESCO, the September 21st, international Journée of peace of UNO.
