Price Serge-Guarantor
The price Serge-Guarantor is a price of musical composition comprising a purse of 25,000$. These is a triennial price which was decreed for the first time in 1991.
Designation musical composition means here any form of sound creation. The choice of the prize winner determines by the fact even the extension which the jury recognizes with the words " sonore" creation; and its decision, from this point of view, is considered in conformity with the payment. However, so that the jury holds account of it, any musical composition must exist in written and printed form, or in the form of recording, or in manuscript.
The price could have been decreed only with one type-setter citizen of the Canada born with the Quebec and residing or not at Quebec, or a type-setter citizen of Canada having his main home in Quebec for at least ten (10) years, even if it were not born there.
The price is decreed for the whole of the work of a type-setter at one unspecified time of its career, and not for a composition in particular. The price can also be granted to a type-setter group of Quebec, if such group still exists at the time of the decision of the jury. It can be decreed only with only one person or one group. Consequently, there will be no equal designation.
