The price Polar Music (or price Stikkan Andersson Music Whodunnit) is given each year by the royal Académie of music of Sweden in order to reward any individual, groups or institution having contributed favorably to the music.
This price was founded in 1989, following a donation of Stig Anderson (1931-1997), former manager of the group ABBA and founder of the musical label Polar Music.
The ceremony of handing-over of this distinction proceeds with Stockholm in May and the prizes winner receive their price of the SM hand the king Charles XVI Gustave of Sweden. Each member elect receives the sum of a million Swedish crowns, that is to say approximately 109.000 euros.
