Price Denise-Furrier

The price Denise-Furrier , one of the eleven Price of Quebec decreed annually by the government of the Quebec, crown the whole of the career of an artist of the Scene.

Description of the price

The artistic fields recognized by this price are the Chanson, the Musique, the Lyric art, the Théâtre and the Danse.

The criteria of eligibility at the price are:

the candidate must be Canadian Citoyen and live or have lived in Quebec;
a person cannot receive the same price twice, but it can receive from it more than one same year;
a price cannot be allotted to several people unless these people take part in joint achievements;
a price cannot be allotted to posthumous Titer.

The price:

a nontaxable Stock Exchange of 30.000 $;
a Medal silver realized by a Québécois artist;
a parchment penmanship and a button of reverse carrying the symbol of the Prices of Quebec;
a part of exclusive Jewelry to the prizes winner and the prizes winner;
a public homage to the prizes winner and the prizes winner by the government of Quebec during an official ceremony.

Origin of the name

The price owes its name with Denise Pelletier (1923 - 1976), a large actress who marked her time as much with the radio, with the Télévision that with the Théâtre. A Cancer stopped its career prematurely whereas it was only 53 years old.
