Price Cecile-Gagnon

Created in 1997 by the Association of the écrivaines and the Québécois writers for youth (AEQJ) , the Prix Cecile-Gagnon wants to pay homage to this large écrivaine for youth, and pionnière of this literature. The price annually greets the record in literature for youth by decreeing a purse of 1000$ with the author of a first novel for youth. The finalists also will visit libraries of their area to meet the young people. In 2004, a second shutter, given to the three years, was created to honor the new authors with albums.
