Create in 1987 and paying homage to the author of mythical the Dracula , the price is allotted by the active members of the Horror Writers Association .
Given once per annum, at the time of the annual conference of association, the Price Bram Stoker reward a published work the previous year.
Since 2001, twelve categories are represented (of which Romance, Nouvelle, collection, first novel and Scénario).
The winner gains a sculpture of Steven Kirk representing a haunted manor.
