In France, the prevention plans of the risks of flood (PPRI), instituted by law 95-101 of the February 2nd 1995 relating to the reinforcement of environmental protection (known as law Barnier), are cartographic and lawful strategic documents which define the rules of Constructibilité in the sectors likely to be flooded. The delimitation of the zones is based on the Crue S histories and it is in the sense that these documents are often called in question.
