Organization of the profession

The partners signatories of the Collective agreement are the principal regroupings of the profession. He is added to these partners the USP or Union of the Companies of Private Safety, increasingly active among the trade unions.

There does not exist any true governmental authority dedicated to private safety but the problems of private safety are frequently approached within the authorities dedicated to public safety in the broad sense: National ethics commission of safety, meetings of the Institute main road of the high safety studies (where seat besides as a Board of directors a representative of the profession private safety).

Principal trades and activities concerned *

  • Security agent: Its function is to ensure the safety of the movable and real property as that of the people who are directly or indirectly related to the safety of these goods (Article 1 of law 83-629). Its work consists mainly of missions of reception and access control, of round of monitoring, control of the respect of the security instructions of the site, of intervention of first urgency, alarm and guidance of the rescue squads, of drafting of the reports/ratios of events or activity.

  • Security agent sets fire to certified (SSIAP): It is an security agent in charge of the prevention sets fire to in an indexed establishment requiring the intervention of the external helps with adapted means. The buildings concerned are the Receiving Establishment of the Public (ERP) and the Buildings Great Height (IGH). The decree of May 2nd, 2005 replaced agents ERP and IGH in SSIAP 1,2 and 3.   • Conducting of watchdog or defense: It is an security agent which must attempt to constitute a true " team; Man-Chien" within the framework of its missions of Prevention and Monitoring. Its work consists in ensuring the protection of the goods and/or the people on a given geographical sector by using its professional qualities combined with cynotechnic competences of its dog. The action of the dog, exclusively preventive and dissuasive, also brings an aspect making safe for the Driver carrying out of the rounds, the interventions, the interpellations with possibly guard of a suspect individual. The dog is the auxiliary of the Driver in the exercise of its missions.

  • Roundsman intervening: It is an security agent whose principal work consists in carrying out rounds of monitoring in the vehicle to ensure the prevention of the ill will and risks easily detectable such as the fire or the intrusion. Its work also consists in intervening to carry out a lifting of doubt within the framework of missions of telesecurity, to detect the origin of alarm, to prevent or make warn the services or people concerned, to proceed to the adapted safety actions and to ensure the continuity of the protection of the site, to give an account of its mission.

  • Agent of prevention of the flights: It is an security agent which takes part in a work of monitoring in the establishments receiving of the public whose essential activity is the sale, in order to avoid the flights, the attacks and the acts of ill will. Its activity is exerted inside the establishment.
