Feins is a common French, located in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine and the area Brittany.
Geography
History
Located on the commune of Pretend, the pond of the Ball is the vastest water level of the department of Ille-et-Vilaine. This one plays a regulating part in the food of the channel of Ille-and-Rancid, built of 1804 to 1832. It was found on the site of the pond of the Ball of the material dating from the Neolithic era (scrapers, arrowheads, flint blades,…). There exists in Feins the legend of the white stone. With deepest of the pond of the Ball exists a white stone. Misfortune with that which finds it, because " who sees the stone large thirst will have! "
The name Feins comes from Latin AD fines who means the border owing to the fact that Feins is on the old Celtic border between the Redones and the Coriosolites.
