Presidents of the Czech Republic

The presidents of the Czech Republic, thus succeeding the Czechoslovakian presidents, sit at the Château of Prague.

The President is with the report heading but its capacities are reduced to a role of representation. He is elected by the Parliament every five years; to counter any constitutional blocking, if a new President were not elected before the end of the mandate of the preceding President, the Prime Minister becomes President by interim.

This table lists the Presidents of the Czech Republic since the separation of the Czechoslovakia.
