Presidential election of the United States of America 1980

Jimmy Carter, empêtré in the world economic crisis and the crisis of the hostages in Iran, is confronted with a major adversary: Ronald Reagan. Benefitting from the crisis of confidence of the citizens towards their President, this one proposes to the American voters a program of rupture néolibéral. Moreover, Jimmy Carter is confronted with the candidature of a dissenting republican candidate, John Anderson, whose libertarian positioning bites more on its electorate than on that of sound conceived. At the end of a baited campaign, Ronald Reagan, with the general surprise, is largely elected.
