Presidential election of the United States of America 1932
Outgoing president Herbert Hoover appeared unable to manage the Krach of 1929. The disastrous economic situation made it strongly unpopular and generated a true democratic tidal wave: thus only six states remained républicains.
Ce was an major event in the political life of the United States, because for the first time since 1860 the democrats reached the presidency durably. They kept it twenty years of sharp and completely eclipsed the republicans during 8 years.
