Presidential Links Quotation
Decoration known as United States Distinguished Unit Quotation is decreed with the units of the Armed forces of the United States and its allies, for distinguished bravery at the time of engagements against an armed enemy, on December 7th, 1941 or since.
The unit must be led with courage and determination and have achieved its mission under dangerous conditions. This decoration is seldom granted to a unit of numerical importance higher than that of a ship, a battalion or a squadron.
Several French, Canadian and Belgian units obtained this decoration following the second world war or with the war of Korea and in particular the the 2nd division armor-plated for the release of Strasbourg.
