Preikestolen

Preikestolen (nynorsk) or Prekestolen (bokmål) (In French, " Chaire"), is imposing a Falaise which culminates with 604 meters with the top of water of the Lysefjord (Lysefjorden), is which from its form punt of approximately 25 meters out of 25 and slightly ahead on the Fjord is comparable with a Chaire. Preikestolen is on the commune of Forsand, in the county of the Rogaland, not far from Stavanger. Approximately 80.000 people visit each year preikestolen. It is necessary to count between three and four hours of walk to reach the pulpit, through heathers, rocks and lakes. Certain passages of the excursion are escarpés.

On the other side of Lysefjord is the plate of Kjerag and the mount of the same name (1100 meters), universally known spot of Base jump.
