The Préfecture of Tandjouaré is a prefecture of the Togo, located in the Région of Savannas

Its place chief is Tandjouaré.

Geography

It is located at the north of Togo, between the Préfecture of Kpendjal, with north and the Préfecture of Oti, in the south. It is bordering on the Ghana in the west

The landscape is made of savannas almost punts

Demography

Its estimated population (2002) is of 82.000 inhabitants. The population is formed mainly by the ethnos groups Moba, and Peuhl.

Economy

The rural areas live breeding, but especially of the culture of the Coton, and food crops of the Maïs and Igname.
