Prefecture of Kumamoto
Kumamoto (熊本県, kumamotoken ) is a prefecture Japan, located at the south-west of the island of Kyūshū. Its principal city is also called Kumamoto, and was the capital of the Hosokawa clan.
History
During the feudal time, it was about the Higo province.
Geography
It is surrounded of the prefectures of Fukuoka, Ōita, Miyazaki, Nagasaki and Kagoshima.
