Prefecture of Kloto

The Préfecture of Kloto is a prefecture of the Togo, located in the Région of the plates

Its capital is Kpalimé

Geography

It is located at the west of Togo, between the Préfecture of Agou, with north and the Préfecture of Danyi, in the south.

Its average altitude is of 700m.

It is the solid mass of Avatimé there, as well as more the high summit of Togo, the Mont Agou, which culminates with 986m of altitude.

Demography

Its estimated population (2002) is of 165.000 inhabitants. It is the more important second of the area, after the Préfecture of Ogou

Economy

The plantations of Coffee and Cacao are the main wealths of the prefecture
