Prefecture of Ishikawa

Ishikawa (石川県, ishikawaken ) is a prefecture Japan located at the center-north of the island of Honshū, on the Mer of Japan.

History

It recovers the old feudal provinces of Kaga and Noto, on which the Clan Maeda reigned at the end of the Period Edo.

Geography

It is surrounded of the prefectures of Toyama, Fukui and Gifu.

The Péninsule of Noto is in this province.

The economy of the prefecture of Ishikawa is dominated by textile industry and the mechanical engineering industry.
