Prefecture of Hyōgo
Hyōgo (兵庫県, Hyōgo-ken ) is a prefecture Japan. Its principal city is Kōbe.
It also extends on the island from Awaji.
It includes/understands inter alia the towns of Himeji, Akashi and Amagasaki.
History
Before the introduction of the system of the prefectures in 1871, the prefecture of Hyōgo was occupied by the provinces of Harima, of Tajima, Awaji and by parts of the provinces of Tamba and Settsu.
Geography
It is surrounded of the prefectures of Ōsaka, Kyōto, Tottori, Okayama and Tokushima.
