The Stade Clermontois Basket Auvergne is a professional club French of Basket-ball, pertaining to the elite of the championship of France

History

Created in 1938, at the same time as the other sections Basketball of the general sports Club of the Stage Clermontois, the club knew its first tournaments with the elite after the Second world war. It reaches even Main road 1 for the season 1945 - 1946, then made several appearances in Main road 2, until settling there durably as from the season 1964 - 1965. In spite of some passages in Main road 1, the club keeps the same level appreciably, until falling in Main road 3 in 1989.

Years 2000 announce the revival of the Stage! With the various recastings of the French championship, the SCBA is still in Main road 3 (the 5th division) in 1996 - 1997, but acquire its ticket for Main road 2, before assembling in NM1 in 2001, then in Pro B the following year. In September 2006, the club is formed in company (SASP) in order to consider the evolution of the French championship as well as possible.
