Prè Rup is the temple of state of Rajendravarman builds towards 961 in the south of the Eastern baray on the site of Angkor to the Kampuchea.

It was devoted to Śiva and the personal liṅga of the king, Rājendreśvara, was venerated there. This king again installs the capital with Angkor by succeeding in 944 Jayavarman IV which reigned since Koh Ker starting from 928.

Pre Rup is of a plan close to that of the Eastern Mébon built a little earlier (953) by the same king and of comparable size: a square plan of 120 Mr. The enclosing wall is built out of laterite, decorations in likings while the turns were set up out of bricks at the top of a terrace to five very escarpés degrees.
