Preševo , in Serb Cyrillic Прешево and in Albanian Preshevë or Presheva, is a city and a municipality of Serbia located in the district of Pčinja. In 2002, the city counted: 13426 inhabitants and the municipality of which it is the center: 34904 inhabitants, including 89,1% of Albanian and Serb 8,5% of .

In 1992, the Albanians of the area organized a referendum claiming the fastening of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac with the Kosovo. Between 1999 and 2001, an organization called Armed with Release of Preševo, Medveđa and Bujanovac (Ushtria Çlirimtare E Preshevës, Medvegjës dhe Bujanocit) opera in the area, with the goal to associate these three municipilities in Kosovo.

Since 2005, Ragmi Mustafa, Albanian Democratic party directs the municipality of Preševo. It was selected for four years.

The Albanian Coalition of the valley of Preševo obtained 16.973 votes (0,42%) and a deputy with the Serb legislative elections of January 21st, 2007.
