Praise comes from Latin " elogium" , with the influence of the old Greek " eulogia".
The praise is a literary Genre inherited the Antiquité which consists in praising the merits of an individual or an institution. It is about a Discours public or given like such, intended for the common construction; for this purpose, he resorts to the exploitation of the resources of the oratorical Registre of the Plaidoyer inherited the traditional Rhétorique. There exist several kinds of praises:
- panegyrical praise: public speech celebrating the virtues of a famous person.
- praise panegyric: eulogistic, enthusiastic poem.
- paradoxical praise: celebration of a person or an unimportant, useless, harmful, socially disqualified thing.
