Geography

Located at 10 kilometers of the Mount-Saint-Michel, on the trunk road, this village is ideally placed to Basse-Normandie.

The commune is located in bay of the Mount-Saint-Michel, with ten kilometers of the coast.

A brook called Barbacan crosses the commune.

It is composed of many villages: Breux, Goupillière, Montils, Bizolière…

History

Few big events came to mark the history of this commune. However, one can evoke some stories and legends here:

- There Montgomery child came to spend a few holidays.

- a legend says that some share in this village is buried there a ton of gold. The site of this ton of gold should be revealed by a magpie at the time of a Candlemas.

- Common history also said that tunnels connect the three middle-class houses of the commune. Nobody found them forever.
