Préalpes vicentines
The Préalpes vicentines are a solid mass of the Eastern Préalpes Southerners. They rise in Italy (limit between the Trentin-Haut-Adige and the Venezia), in the north of Vicence, from where their name. They are sometimes called Préalpes vénètes , but in a geographical extension slightly broader.
They belong to the whole of the Dolomites.
The Cima Dodici is the culminating point of the solid mass.
Geography
Situation
The solid mass is surrounded of the Montagnes around Lake Garda (Monte Baldo) in the west, of the the Alps de Fiemme in north and of the solid mass of the Dolomites in the North-East.Schematically, it consists of a large principal plate, around Asiago, the plate of Seven-Common ( Altopiano dei sette comuni ), whose dominant peaks are spread out of is in west, in the septentrional part with the top of the Valsugana, and who softens gradually in direction of the south, as well as few small satellite links (Carega/Lessini, Pasubio, etc).
It is bordered by the Adige (Valley Lagarina) in the west and the Brenta in north and the east.

The rock more répendue in the solid mass is the Dolomie.
History
The Alps vicentines shelter the linguistic field cimbre, a Germanic Langue resulting from the many migrations of this tribe in Europe before the Christian era.The high-plate famous from a historical point of view for its Fortification S, is also built before the First World War to defend the territory of the Trentin and the town of Thirty in particular.
Activities
Winter sports resorts
Apart from the Alpine skiing practiced in all the solid mass, the plate of Seven-Common offers a relief allowing the practice of the Cross-country skiing with approximately 500 km of tracks.
Excursion
The plate offers also many panoramic footpaths connecting the valleys in the middle of the solid mass.
