Préalpes carnic

The carnic Préalpes are a solid mass of the Eastern Préalpes Southerners. They rise in Italy (Venezia and Friuli-Venezia Giulia).

They belong to the whole of the the carnic Alps.

The Cima dei Preti is the culminating point of the solid mass.

Geography

Situation

The solid mass is surrounded of the Dolomites in the west, the the carnic Alps in north and of the the Alps juliennes in the North-East.

It is bordered by the Piave in the west.

It is consisted of the Dolomites frioulanes in the south of the Col of Mauria and the Dolomites pesarines (of the name of a central valley) in north.
